Pickleball at Volta

Dedicated indoor pickleball, built for the corridor.

Eight dedicated indoor pickleball courts in development for the QEW corridor between Hamilton and Niagara. Year-round open play, leagues, lessons and clinics, all close to home.

Why play here

The pickleball home the corridor has been missing.

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the country, and the hardest to find a proper indoor court for between Hamilton and Niagara. Volta fixes that with dedicated, purpose-built courts and a real community around them, so you are not chasing open gym time or taped lines on a tennis court ever again.

Dedicated courts

Purpose-built indoor pickleball courts with professional lighting and surfacing, not lines shared with another sport.

Year-round play

Indoor courts mean rain, snow or heat never cancel your game. Play every week of the year.

All

Every level

From your first ever paddle to competitive league nights, there is a session and a group for you.

Open play & socials

Drop-in open play and social mixers built to help you meet people and find your regular four.

Leagues & clinics

Organised leagues, ladders and coaching clinics to sharpen your game at any level.

Lessons for beginners

Never played? Pickleball is famously easy to start. Beginner lessons get you rallying fast.

Pickleball close to home

Right on the QEW, in the middle of it all.

No more driving to the city for a decent court. Volta sits on the QEW corridor, about 25 minutes from Hamilton and 30 minutes from Niagara Falls, with the towns in between just minutes from the door.

Who it is for

If you have wanted to play, this is your court.

Pickleball took over Hamilton and Niagara because anyone can pick it up in an afternoon, and almost nobody can put it down. Volta is built for all of them. The first-timer who wants a friendly clinic. The family looking for something they can all play together. The competitive player who wants real leagues and ladders. And the social player who comes as much for the people as the points.

It is also more than a court. Pickleball at Volta sits inside a full club, so a match can roll straight into a coffee in the café, a session in the 24/7 gym, or a sauna and cold plunge in the wellness hub. Padel and a wellness hub share the same roof, on the same membership.

Pickleball FAQ

Good questions, honest answers.

Where will the pickleball courts be?
Volta is in development for the QEW corridor between Hamilton and Niagara Falls, roughly 25 minutes from Hamilton and 30 minutes from Niagara Falls. It is built to serve Grimsby, Beamsville, Lincoln, Stoney Creek, Winona, St. Catharines and the surrounding towns.
How many pickleball courts will there be?
The plan is eight dedicated indoor pickleball courts, purpose-built rather than lines taped onto a tennis court, with professional lighting and surfacing.
Are the courts indoor and open year-round?
Yes. The courts are planned as dedicated indoor courts, so weather never cancels your game and you can play every week of the year.
I have never played. Can I still join?
Definitely. Pickleball is one of the easiest sports to start. Volta plans beginner lessons, clinics and friendly open play alongside leagues and competitive sessions, so there is a place for every level.
Will there be leagues and open play?
Yes. The plan includes organised leagues, ladders, coaching clinics and regular drop-in open play and socials.
When does it open and how do I get in early?
